Hi People
Today I going to talk about one of my favourites movies (I don`t have a single favourite movie I have many favourites movies), but there is an interesting and beautiful film that I saw a few days a go called "Klimt", directed by Raúl Ruiz.
Fist of all, Raúl Ruiz was a Chilean flmamker, but he lived for a long time in France, he has changed his original country in 1973, because in september of this year was the coup d'etat in Chile. He was very famous and known filmmaker, in Chile and in Europe, he work with many famous people and also he was teacher at university. He died in France in 2011, he was 70 years old.
This film talk about one of the greatest Viennese artists in modernity: Gustav Klimt. The movie is a biographical film, but not chronological. The movie described his situation with women, with his family, with the art circle, with the bohemian life and night-life with his friends, but in a subjective way, because the camera tells his physical and mental condition. At the end of his life, in 1918, Klimt was very sick and wek, he captured pneumonia and spanish influenza, and finaly he died of a heart attack. With such deseases, his mental condition changed and he was increasingly more weak and insane. Is just this piont of view so interesting for the film and for that rason the movie shows the end of his life.
I like so much the movie because the film does something exciting, the film is able to reproduce the magic atmospheric of Klimt paintings to the image, and such operation is a most beautiful thing a ever saw. The film reproduce some of the artist imagination and fantasies, the images are decorated and balanced, the images shows us his fascination for women, beauty and eroticism.
Oh!! I love it so much! Raúl Ruiz was a great genius!!! And this film is really beautiful! Ruiz gives life to the work of Klimt in this film! I love Time Regained too!! It's a pity that Ruiz died so soon!
