Hello everyone
So much time without write
Today I want to talk about a very good photographer. His nickname was Weegee, and his first real name was Usher Fallig.
Weegee was born on june 12th, 1899 in in Złoczów,now Zolochiv, city of Ukraine country. In 1909 he came to New York City with his familly and the same year he changed his name, from that moment his name was Arthur. He didn't have a job when he arrived to New York, so he work in many things, but soon he realized that he wanted to create a job for his own and he became a photographer and photojurnalist. He was very clear with his ideas, in fact, in 1987 he said "Bomb magazine":

"(...) I went and created a job for myself—freelance photographer. And what I did, anybody else can do. What I did simply was this: I went down to Manhattan Police Headquarters and for two years I worked without a police card or any kind of credentials. When a story came over a police teletype, I would go to it. The idea was I sold the pictures to the newspapers. And naturally, I picked a story that meant something."

He was successfull, and he did that he loved the most: : being on the street and stay in touch with the

strangeness of the city at night.

I don't have only one favorite photo, I really like Weegee's artwork, but one of the first photographe that I

saw was "New Year's Eve at Sammy's" on the Bowery, 1943.

The picture shows people in a bar, people drink and laugh. In the middle, a very short man, the man is dress with a boxer. This picture is drink and confusion, is the party and this photo represents the extravagances that night allows. This is the reason why I like it so much.

Weegee died on decembre 26th, 1968, he was 69 years old.
